November Employee of the Month

Please help us congratulate our November Employee of the Month, Amy Kozlowski! Amy has been with our Activity Department since February 2023, and we are so grateful for her. After Amy’s quick thinking during a medical emergency, she was an easy choice for this award. Staff and residents speak very highly of her and enjoy her fun personality!

Most days, Amy is found leading activities in our Memory Care Unit but she also enjoys helping out with our long-term care residents. Before starting at Heritage of Hudson, Amy was a former Admissions Director, Social Services Designee, and Activity Assistant. Her previous experience in healthcare has been invaluable and helped her transition seamlessly to our building.



Amy’s favorite things about working in activities are the staff and residents. She loves to see our residents happy and smiling and finds it so rewarding to make a difference in their lives. Amy’s favorite activities to do with the residents are minigolf, card Bingo, and anything involving music. Conversely, the hardest part of being an Activity Assistant is when a resident that you’re close with has a bad day or passes away.

Amy lives in Cuyahoga Falls with her husband and teenage daughter. She also has two golden retrievers at home, Bella and Charlie. When she’s not at work, Amy enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outside. She graduated from Kent State in 2005 and studied finance, which she joked is completely unrelated to what she does now! A surprising fact about Amy is that she hasn’t driven a car in over thirteen years!

We are so grateful that Amy is a part of our team at Heritage of Hudson. While she represents many of our core values, one, in particular, stands out; “don’t find a problem, find a solution.” Amy solves problems and does it with a cool head and quick actions. She is dependable, a hard worker, and always has a great attitude. If you see Amy around, be sure to congratulate her on a job well done!
